Individual Therapy

Individual therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy, is a confidential and collaborative process. I will work with you one-on-one to explore and address personal challenges, emotional struggles, and behavioral patterns. Through open and supportive dialogue, I will help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and navigate towards personal growth and well-being. The focus will be on your unique experiences, thoughts, and feelings, fostering self-awareness and empowering you to overcome obstacles, meet your goals, and improve your overall mental health.

My approach is integrative and relational and you can learn more about the theories I adopt, as well as my specific areas of expertise, by clicking on the drop-down menus.

  • Developed by Sigmund Freud and later expanded by others, psychodynamic theory proposes that unconscious thoughts and emotions impact conscious behavior, emphasizing the role of early childhood experiences in shaping personality and relationships. Therapy aims to bring these hidden aspects into awareness for personal insight and growth.

  • CBT is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and changing the negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to psychological distress. It emphasizes the interconnectedness between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to break harmful cycles through effective mindfulness and acceptance coping tools.

  • Rooted in attachment theory, EFT aims to help individuals develop a more secure emotional foundation by examining and restructuring their emotional responses and relationships with themselves and others.
